El Vista Orchards began in 1915 with the purchase of a 157 acre farm by B. E. Benner, who passed the orchard to his son, Lloyd, in 1959. When Lloyd passed away in 1984, it was natural for Jim and Dave to take over the family farm they had worked on throughout their lives. Over the past 84 years, El Vista has grown to 723 acres on six farms.
